“I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”
Ephesians 4:1-3 NKJV http://bible.com/114/eph.4.1-3.nkjv Heavenly Father, thank you for all things. In the midst of division all around us thank you for reminding us that you have called us for a purpose - to love, to be unified, to be at peace with one another. Forgive us when allow selfishness and pride to lead us. Guide us, we pray in our relationships - family, church, work, _____ - that you have called us to love. And, when we place you first, we each prosper together. In Jesus’ name we pray; Amen.

Thank you Lord for reminding me that we all have a part in unity. Pride, selfishness, and self righteousness all play a part in dividing your people. Forgive me, Lord, for I am no better than those i point a finger at. Help me, to keep my opinion to myself. Even that can bring about discord (even though i truly did not intend it). Help me Lord to do and say what is right and in love.
