Morning Scripture
”So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that you shall say to him, ‘By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. And it came to pass, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the Lord killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast. Therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all males that open the womb, but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.’ It shall be as a sign on your hand and as frontlets between your eyes, for by strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt.”“
Exodus 13:14-16 NKJV
https://bible.com/bible/114/exo.13.14-16.NKJV
”“And in the future, your children will ask you, ‘What does all this mean?’ Then you will tell them, ‘With the power of his mighty hand, the Lord brought us out of Egypt, the place of our slavery. Pharaoh stubbornly refused to let us go, so the Lord killed all the firstborn males throughout the land of Egypt, both people and animals. That is why I now sacrifice all the firstborn males to the Lord—except that the firstborn sons are always bought back.’ This ceremony will be like a mark branded on your hand or your forehead. It is a reminder that the power of the Lord’s mighty hand brought us out of Egypt.”“

Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things. Father God. Thank you. Thank you for deliverance when all things seemed against us. Thank you for the scars because they tell the story and we are alive to tell them. And thank you for the activity of our limbs, as we cross over from struggle to victory. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things. Father, thank you for each deliverance and each opportunity to share that deliverance with others. Father, you are amazing and you have called us to tell the story of deliverance, not for glory, but to remind ourselves and others that you can do all things. Father, give us patience when we hear of someone’s deliverance one more time; and give us the spirit of joy to tell our story one more time. Thank you, Lord, for these thy gifts. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. Thank you for walking with me. Good morning!!! I have been AWON - absent without notice to you. LOL. If you have prayed for me in my absence, THANK YOU. Last week included a funeral program, a funeral, and travel. No excuse, just my truth. God showed up each step of the way. And we were grateful!! All continues to be right in the world and we are blessed by and with every adventure. Thank you as always for your patience and support.

Morning Scripture
”Then it came to pass, when Pharaoh had let the people go, that God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, although that was near; for God said, “Lest perhaps the people change their minds when they see war, and return to Egypt.” So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.“ Exodus 13:17-18 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/exo.13.17-18.NKJV ”When Pharaoh finally let the people go, God did not lead them along the main road that runs through Philistine territory, even though that was the shortest route to the Promised Land. God said, “If the people are faced with a battle, they might change their minds and return to Egypt.” So God led them in a roundabout way through the wilderness toward the Red Sea. Thus the Israelites left Egypt like an army ready for battle.“ Exodus 13:17-18 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/exo.13.17-18.NLT |
Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things. Thank you, Lord, for sometimes making the road so hard that I won’t turn back. Thank you for teaching us lessons along the path of victory so that we are clear of our expectations. And, thank you for closing doors and shutting them tight, so that even if we chose to go back we couldn’t. Father, sometimes we lean toward the familiar because we know the past, and the future is uncertain. Grant us grace for backwards, and also strength for forward. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen and Thank God. |

Morning Scripture
”And Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had placed the children of Israel under solemn oath, saying, “God will surely visit you, and you shall carry up my bones from here with you.”“ Exodus 13:19 NKJV https://bible.com/bible/114/exo.13.19.NKJV ”Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for Joseph had made the sons of Israel swear to do this. He said, “God will certainly come to help you. When he does, you must take my bones with you from this place.”“ Exodus 13:19 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/exo.13.19.NLT |
Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things - for promises fulfilled. Father, thank you for fulfilling the promise made years ago to come for the children of Israel in Egypt. Thank you also for the promise fulfilled of a family and a people who promised to return their ancestor home. Father, help us to remember promises and to keep promises. Help us to remember that promises may involve waiting. But most importantly, help us to understand that promises kept are love personified. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen. |
