She has served as Youth Director-Advisor, Youth Program Coordinator, Choir Member, Praise Dance Member, and Board of Christian Education member. Presently, she serves as Chair of the Board of Christian Education.

Ms. Nettles is a layman who enjoys seeking Christ, researching the Word of God, and relishing in the “Ah-Haa” moments – the understanding- that so illuminates the true promises of God. She has allowed her life lessons – her hills and valleys – to shape her Christian walk. Always believing in the magnificence of living a Christian life, her love of Christ is firmly rooted in the journey that ebbs and flows, that has cloudy and brilliant sunlit glorious days of God’s mercy. Over the past years, Dr. Nettles has often proclaimed that despite all, life is wonderful and that she “lives in the overflow, in the saucer of life.” And through the sharing of her devotionals and her poetry, she hopes to inspire others to trust, believe, and grow in God’s grace.
