“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”
I John 2:3-6 NKJV
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things. We love you, Lord, and choose to walk with you. Help us, Lord, to live lives like Jesus - loving, giving, and forgiving. Remind us that our lives are to be examples of your living love and grace. Help us to walk in truth so that others may see and know that you are God. Let our daily walk glorify you. In Jesus’ name we pray in humble submission. Amen.
“Behold, I send My messenger, And he will prepare the way before Me. And the Lord, whom you seek, Will suddenly come to His temple, Even the Messenger of the covenant, In whom you delight. Behold, He is coming,” Says the LORD of hosts. (Malachi 3:1 NKJV)
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things- for your message of promise, of grace, and of love; thank you for your Messenger- the fulfillment of the promise - love embodied in your son. We praise and celebrate all that you are and all that you do. We love you, Lord. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
“that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Romans 10:9-10 NKJV
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things - for Jesus, who lived, died, and rose so that we might be saved. My Lord, Christ Jesus, I love you. Strengthen me, so that I may do your will. Guide me, so that I may know your truth. Love me, so that I may feel the joy of salvation. I give myself to you. In Jesus’ name we pray and by faith we believe. Amen.
“Then He brought him outside and said, “Look now toward heaven, and count the stars if you are able to number them.” And He said to him, “So shall your descendants be.” And he believed in the LORD, and He accounted it to him for righteousness.”
Genesis 15:5-6 NKJV
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things - for your vision for my life. Lead me, Lord, on your path. Show me, Lord, so that I may glimpse the promise you have for me. Strengthen me, Lord, with patience and joy - so that as it unfolds, I can see clearly each step of my purpose in your kingdom. Thank you, Father, for seeing beyond what I could see. In Jesus’ name we pray; Amen.
“as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.”
I Peter 2:2-3 NKJV
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things - for your nourishment. Lord, we seek you like newborn babies - desiring to know you, to be fed by you, to love you. We seek to lie in your arms of comfort and peace. Lord, we need you and your grace. You are a gracious God and we are grateful. Lord, we bless your name. In Jesus’ name we pray; Amen.
““Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.””
Matthew 18:19-20 NKJV
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things - for each other. We pray today, together, glorifying you and all that you have done for us individually and collectively. Thank you for abiding in our midst, for loving us, for guiding us - for grace. We love you, Lord, continue to strengthen us, so that we may - together - continue he to build your kingdom. In Jesus’ name we pray and sing praises. Amen.
“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.”
Hebrews 11:8-10 NKJV
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things. Lord, we pray for faith like Abraham - to not only go, but to go willingly when you call us into service; to go unafraid to new challenges; to go believing that wherever we are you are already there. We also pray for patience, for in your time, all will be revealed. We lean on you now, Father, in service and in expectation. In Jesus’ name we pray and seek your face in all things. Amen.
“And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.”
John 20:30-31 NKJV
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things - for the miracle that is Jesus Christ and the recordings of his life. We are reminded that Jesus is not past - He is present. As we look at our daily lives, there are signs, miracles, and wonders of your presence and love for us. We open our eyes and hearts, Lord, to the majesty that is you. In Jesus’ name we pray, praise, and celebrate; Amen.
“The other disciples therefore said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” So he said to them, “Unless I see in His hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe.””
John 20:25 NKJV
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things - for your grace. Forgive us, Lord when we doubt. Strengthen our faith, Father. Hear our hearts cry; and remind us that you are and you are able. We seek you. We trust you. And, we believe that you are always with us. Continue to grace us, Lord, with your forever presence. In Jesus’ name we pray; amen.
“And suddenly, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand and drew his sword, struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his ear. But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take the sword will perish by the sword. Or do you think that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than twelve legions of angels? How then could the Scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus?””
Matthew 26:51-54 NKJV
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things. Lord, we pray for patience and strength that your will be done in our lives as you have determined. We are your children, Father, and we have given our lives to you. Lord, let your will be done. Please, Lord, grant us the strength, courage, grace, and faith to follow you. In Jesus’ name we humbly pray. Amen.
