Morning Scripture
“And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.””
Genesis 2:9, 15-17 NKJV

“The Lord God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground—trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. In the middle of the garden he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. But the Lord God warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.””

Morning Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for all things. Father, thank you for planting us in the midst of a garden designed for man, with beautiful green trees, and fresh food to eat. Thank you for provision m. Thank you also for simple instructions. Father, bend our ear and tune our hearts to hear and follow your simple instructions that are given so that we may have life abundantly. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
PS. Did we notice that the Word says for us to tend and keep or tend and watch - not keep, possess, or destroy. We must get better at being stewards of the provisions that God has given us. Guide us, Lord. Amen.
